Home-Improvement Made Easy
Most home-improvement ideas are inspired by a photo. But there’s a problem — covering these images and ideas into a reality is a challenge. That’s where DoSpace comes in.
DoSpace is a home-improvement platform that lets you upload any interior design photo — from magazines, social media, or websites — and instantly see it replicated in your own space.
Through its platform, you can purchase the products you see in the photo or request quotes from local contractors to complete the renovation project.
In 2023, the U.S. home-improvement market was valued at $522 billion. And by 2029, it’s projected to reach $615 billion.
There are a few reasons behind the growth of this market. First, many homes in the U.S. are aging, requiring regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Second, the rise of work-from-home employees has spurred interest in remodeling and renovating homes. Finally, growing awareness of energy-efficient upgrades and “green” building materials has driven remodeling projects.
As mentioned, though, completing a remodeling project isn’t easy. Homeowners struggle to visualize their idea and communicate clearly with contractors about what they want. Vendors often find it hard to reach buyers and effectively showcase their tools and products. And contractors waste time making site visits and writing bids for projects that, due to a lack of clarity and communication, don’t get completed.
DoSpace creates an experience where homeowners, vendors, and contractors collaborate together in shared virtual spaces.
DoSpace uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology to create users’ designs. Traditional AR tools require users to be physically present in their space. But with DoSpace, after capturing a room in full 360 degrees, users can redesign, shop, and collaborate with anyone from anywhere.
And unlike some visualizers that can only visualize one product at a time, DoSpace enables users to visualize multiple brands and products together. The company has integrated catalogs from retailers Lowe’s, Wayfair, and Walmart. Finally, while other platforms rely on fake AI-generated imagery, DoSpace’s patent-pending technology provides accurate visualizations of real products in real spaces.
DoSpace earns revenue through vendor advertising, lead generation, premium subscriptions, and co-branded solutions. This creates a situation where the company can generate income without holding inventory or managing logistics.
DoSpace has raised more than three million dollars and is generating revenue. Its app has been downloaded more than 30,000 times.
