Bimotal

Bimotal designs and develops custom electric powertrains for small electric vehicles (think those between twenty and fifty pounds).

A powertrain is the motor, gearbox, battery, charger, electronics, and software that makes a vehicle electric. Tesla is pushing this technology for large EVs, but smaller ones — bikes, scooters, etc. — need the same level of technical development. That's where Bimotal comes in.

This company features a team with experience at Tesla, Apple, and Formula-1. And it's raised nearly three million dollars to-date.

Bimotal has a five-and-a-half million-dollar contract with a top bike brand and is in preliminary talks about a powertrain system for wheelchairs.
