A surprising investment has been generating jaw-dropping long-term returns.
I’m talking about 12%, 15%, even 22% per year and higher.
This investment has nothing to do with trading options or betting on risky AI stocks. But it’s grown into a nearly $2 trillion market and attracted giants like BlackRock, KKR, and Bain Capital.
Most ordinary investors overlook this investment. Many even actively avoid it.
But today, I’d like to change that. Then I’ll show you how to jump in yourself.
Higher Returns Than Traditional Investments
What do clean energy, affordable housing, and turning abandoned buildings into thriving businesses have in common?
Investments in such projects aim to generate profits — which is why cut-throat firms like Blackrock, Bain, and KKR are involved — while also making a positive difference.
This is called Impact Investing, and according to a recent report from the Global Impact Investing Network, it’s now a global market worth $1.7 trillion.
Surprisingly, it’s been generating better returns than traditional investments.
For example, a study from Schroders and Oxford University found that 80% of impact-focused stock portfolios tested outperformed the broader market.
Meanwhile, Harvard researchers examined more than 2,500 impact investments made by the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group. Over their lifetimes, these investments outperformed the S&P 500 by 15%.
Wow. Who knew?
And now you don't need to be a millionaire to participate…
Introducing Small Change
Founded in 2016, Small Change pioneered a way for everyday investors to invest in community-friendly real-estate projects with as little as $100.
Over the years, it listed close to 70 investment offerings that focused on affordable housing projects, renovating buildings, and revitalizing neighborhoods. More than 3,000 investors took advantage of these offerings, investing $21 million.
For example, one project, called “Starter Home Two” in New Orleans, Louisiana, turned overlooked vacant lots into affordable homes for first-time buyers. Investors ended up earning 22% annual returns.
Another project, called “Brooklyn Heights Farm” in Rhinebeck, New York, focused on preserving historic farmland while using environmentally friendly building practices. Investors ended up earning 12% annual returns.
Recently, Small Change transformed itself into a new platform called Small Change Community. You can visit the platform here »
Similar to its previous iteration, it aims to connect community-focused developers with investors like you through income-generating opportunities. We’re excited for what’s in store.
